The Granola

What makes Goody Granola different?

Every recipe uses real, natural ingredients - no refined sugars, no palm oil, nothing I wouldn't want to eat myself. Two of my granolas are still baked in my own home kitchen, which has a 5 star food hygiene rating and every batch of Nuts & Seeds gets taste-checked by me personally before it goes anywhere near a bag.

It's small-batch, it's hands-on and every order is packed and posted by me. No big factory, no shortcuts - just good ingredients made with a bit of obsession!

Where is the granola made?

Two of my recipes (the 72% Dark Chocolate & Goji Berry and the Vegan) are baked by me in my home kitchen, which has been awarded a 5 star food hygiene rating every inspection.

The Nuts & Seeds granola is baked for me at a small artisan factory. It's then delivered to my home in big blue sacks. I taste check every sack before spooning it into my packets and posting.

What do you use to sweeten the granola?

I use honey to sweeten my granolas - no refined sugars, ever. This keeps the sugar content naturally low. A feel-good breakfast in every sense! With the seeds and extra virgin olive oil it's full of natural goodness, which is why lots of nutritionists and professional athletes love it!

The exception is my Vegan granola, where I swap honey for agave - a natural vegan alternative that also contains vitamin B6.

How long does the granola keep and how should I store it?

Once you've opened a bag, reseal it and keep it somewhere cool and dry or decant into an airtight container if you prefer. In terms of shelf life, the Nuts & Seeds and Vegan granolas keep for up to 9 months and the 72% Dark Chocolate & Goji Berry for up to 6 months - though in my experience it never lasts that long!

Can I use Goody Granola in recipes?

Absolutely - and I love hearing how people use it! It's brilliant sprinkled over yoghurt or fruit, but it works just as well baked into flapjacks, stirred through overnight oats, or scattered over a crumble topping.

Dietary Information

Do you have a nut-free granola?

Yes! My 72% Peruvian Dark Chocolate & Goji Berry granola is made to a recipe that contains no nuts at all.

I do want to be open with you though: I do keep sesame seeds and nuts at home for personal use. I'm careful to keep these well away from my baking, but I'd always want you to know that, so you can make the right call for your situation. My home kitchen has a 5 star food hygiene rating, which may offer some further reassurance.

Is the granola suitable for Vegans?

Most of my granolas use honey, so they're not strictly vegan. However, I do have a dedicated Vegan granola which swaps honey for agave - a natural vegan substitute that also contains vitamin B6. It's just as delicious, I promise!

Is it gluten free?

My oats don't contain gluten, but I choose not to make a formal gluten-free claim. The farmers who grow my oats rotate their crops, which is actually wonderful for the soil and the flavour of the oats - but because other crops (including wheat) are grown in the same soil, I can't guarantee there's no trace cross-contamination. I'd rather be upfront about that than make a claim I can't stand behind 100%. If you have coeliac disease or a serious gluten intolerance, please do bear this in mind.

Ordering & Delivery

How does postage work?

I aim to post orders within 3 working days of receiving them. Once dispatched you'll receive a tracking number by email from Royal Mail or Evri so you can follow your order every step of the way.

For full postage rates, options and what to do if you have a problem with your order, head over to my Postage page.

Can I set up a subscription?

Yes! When you order you can choose to subscribe and save - with the option to set your delivery frequency anywhere from every 2 weeks to every 2 months, whatever suits you best. Plus you'll save £1 per pack. Happy days!

Can I pause, change my frequency or cancel my subscription?

Yes - you can pause, change your delivery frequency, or cancel at any time. Just drop me an email at goodygranola@yahoo.com and I'll take care of it for you.

One thing to bear in mind, if your request comes through within 7 days of your next scheduled delivery, I may not be able to make the change in time for that order. So the sooner you let me know, the better!

Can I order as a gift?

Goody Granola makes a lovely gift - I might be biased, but I've had a lot of people tell me they order it for friends and family who've become just as obsessed as they are!

At the moment I don't offer formal gift wrapping, but if you'd like to include a note for the recipient just pop a message in the order notes at checkout and I'll do my best to include it.
